North Thompson Communities Foundation

The North Thompson Communities Foundation is a registered charitable organization; serving the communities of the North Thompson Valley from McLure to Blue River, inclusive of the Simpcw First Nation.

The North Thompson Communities Foundation was founded in 2003. Elected Directors and volunteer committee members promote the benevolent work of The NTCF.

The North Thompson Communities Foundation uses donated funds to create permanent income endowments. Interest from these endowed funds provide money for grants.

Bursaries, created by citizens of the North Thompson Valley, are also administered by The North Thompson Communities Foundation.

Grants: Community groups and organizations, working to enhance the quality of life for the people of the North Thompson Valley apply annually.

Identifying and addressing local initiatives brings people together from all sectors. Community members gatherings create opportunities for dialogue and inclusion. Dialogue and inclusion are primary objectives of The North Thompson Communities Foundation.

Many groups throughout the North Thompson Valley have received funding to undertake a variety of projects.

All age-groups benefit.

The North Thompson Communities Foundation provides grants such as: grants for preschoolers (i.e. the Children’s Festival); grants for Youth (i.e. 4-H), grants for sports equipment and clinics, and grants for Seniors (i.e. Evergreen Acres renovations).

The North Thompson Communities Foundation also provides grants for other fields of interest. Leadership development, Food security, Education, Health, the Arts and Environmental protection have all benefited.

The North Thompson Communities Foundation relies on responsibly managed Donations and Legacies to promote Community capacity building. Donors primarily are residents or former residents of the North Thompson Valley.

Annual and on-going fund-raisers also fund the business needs of The North Thompson Communities Foundation. Every penny counts and every penny is welcome.
