Blue River Campground & RV Park

The Blue River Campground is found on Highway #5, at Blue River, B C, halfway between Jasper and Kamloops.

We offer Tipis /\, comfortable camping Cabins, full/partial service RV sites, and Tent sites. We also provide canoe and cart rentals for lakes in the area including Murtle Lake, Wells Gray Provincial Park; camping gear rentals and information on outdoor pursuits –from Heli-Hiking to Riverboat Tours. There is great fishing in the area so we also provide fishing gear rental/sales – great flies!

The campground has 42 sites that can accommodate tents. Water, electricity, and full hook-ups are available. Many sites are convenient ‘pull-throughs’, which can accommodate even the largest vehicles.

Picnic tables and fireboxes are located at every site, and the washrooms have free hot showers, and flush toilets. We also have a beautiful log cook shelter, so you can enjoy the fresh air and scenery — come rain or shine! This shelter seats 30+ so it is great for larger groups of people.

Our Camping Cabins were introduced in 2003, and have been a major hit with visitors ever since!

Inspired by the success of our new Camping Cabins and our traditional Tipi rentals, we have added town and country bikes to our rental offerings for guests to explore the area and check out the town.

For Kids Only at the campground. There is a large sand area for younger kids with all kinds of toys and games located right by the office building. Kids gather there to play and parents love to hang out with a coffee and watch them enjoying the afternoon sunshine.

Older youth enjoy the basketball hoops, badminton area or soccer net used for soccer or street hockey. We have all the balls and equipment for use free of charge. Board games and books are available to borrow.

The campground store carries drinks, snacks, fishing supplies and camping gear. Complete fishing rods, and complete camping equipment are also for rent.

We also carry BC Fishing Licences for your convenience. The guidebook to Wells Grey Park and topographical map of Murtle Lake are popular items.

While in the town of Blue River, a variety of activities and services are located within walking distance (less than 20 minutes in most cases):
