Wells Gray Gateway Guesthouse is a handcrafted log cabin designed as a retreat for people who want a country vacation with privacy, road access and modern amenities. The Guesthouse is situated on 125 hectares (310 acres) of private land next to Wells Gray Park, so you have plenty of space to roam.
The cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, living room with dining table, complete bathroom, washer and dryer, a deck beside the creek, and a barbecue. There are beds for six guests in a bedroom and a loft – one queen, one double, two singles. All bedding is supplied. Dogs are welcome and there is a $15 additional fee per stay (not per night).

Enjoy hiking, trout fishing in the Clearwater River, and nature photography. Moul Falls is a walk of 35 minutes, McDiarmid Falls is a one-hour walk, and other trails go along the rim of the Clearwater River canyon.

The Guesthouse is open from early May to end of October. There is no cell service, no television, limited radio reception, and no newspaper, so guests can expect an escape from the distractions of the modern world. The Guesthouse is owned by Roland Neave, author of the popular guidebook Exploring Wells Gray Park, and a copy of the 7th edition (published in 2023) is complimentary for each party. Reservations are made through Airbnb.
